what is life?

Everyone is on a quest for purpose. It is only natural for us to seek to satisfy that longing in our hearts with anything we can get our hands on. We intrinsically know that there must be more to this life than what we are experiencing. The Bible says that, “the thief (Satan) has come to steal, kill, and destroy, but I (Jesus) have come so that you might have life and have it to the full.” It is our desire to point people to life in Jesus. Jesus is the end and the beginning... the end of our quest for purpose and the beginning of our life of significance.

what is lifepoint church?

Lifepoint is not just another church. Wilmington does not need another church. What Wilmington does need is a safe environment where the unchurched can come and hear the life-changing truth that Jesus Christ cares for them and died for their sins. Lifepoint is a gathering, a journey for believers, seekers, and doubters to discover the life that God has designed them for. Lifepoint is about living in relationship with God, communion with believers and connection with nonbelievers. Lifepoint is about change, friendship, forgiveness, and love. To put it simply, Lifepoint is about Life.

lifepoint defined?

The best definition of living at the lifepoint is found in the cross of Jesus Christ. The cross is assembled from two intersecting crossbeams. The horizontal beam represents the hands of Jesus stretched out to serve and embrace the world. The vertical beam represents Jesus’ worship and obedience to His Heavenly Father. Our desire at Lifepoint Church is to help people live at the lifepoint or intersection of the cross. We believe we should live in such a way that our love for God intersects our love for our friends and neighbors.
