What is "Greater Things"?
In just under 6 years, we have seen God do tremendous things through the ministry of Lifepoint Church. Lifepoint has grown beyond just a Sunday morning worship experience into a full-fledged family with ministry taking place all throughout the week. Every family needs a home, and we have an incredible opportunity to move into a permanant facility. Greater Things is a 6 month partnership of individuals and families who are uniting both prayerfully and financially to increase our ministry capacity. We belive that as we step out in faith, God is going to do even greater things in this community.
Counting the Cost
"But don't begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it? - Luke 14:28 (NLT)
-Option 1
Traditionally churches buy land and build. So, we looked at that option first. But, to buy land and build a 30,000 sq. ft campus would cost around $6.2 million (8 acres + 30,000 sq. ft @ 100 per ft).
-Option 2
Our second option would be to find an existing building that we could purchase and renovate. To accommodate our growing needs, we would need a building that had ample parking spaces for 800 people and 30,000 sq. ft. (a rare combination in Wilmington). And, even if we did, the projected cost for a project that size in our area is about $3.9 million.
-Option 3
Our third option is to lease an existing 30,000 sq. ft space centrally located in our city and renovate the space. God provided favor with the landlord and builders and we were able to price this project at $350,000.
After much counsel and discussion with our overseers and management team, seeking God, and praying through the process, we decided that it would be the best stewardship to proceed with option 3.
Partner Through Prayer
- Pray for Pastor Jeff, his family and the leadership team of Lifepoint Church
- Pray that we as a church family accomplish all that God has called us to do in helping people Love God, Love Others, and Serve the World
- Pray that all of the renovation and construction goes smoothly and for saftey for all those involved
- Pray that God will show each person in our church the role he or she can play in making GREATER THINGS a success
- Pray that God supernaturally provide resources through you for the purpose of sowing into this project
Partner Through Giving
We asked that you partner with us to make this project happen by giving a one-time sacrificial gift during our Greater Things Miracle Offering which took place at each of our Sunday services on December 18th. In addition we asked for a commitment over the next 6 months, over and above your regular tithes.
So far we have all partnered together to give $215,976.71! Keep up the good work and let's finish the race! We're praying Ephesians 3:20 over each of you that have pledged money for this project; that God will not only provide the funds to fulfill your commitment but that He will do immeasurably more than you can even dream of!

2. Use your login to access the system (if you do not have a login you can sign up here)
3. Go to the "Give" tab
